Kevin Miller, PhD, MSW

Evanston Therapist

(He/Him)

Hi, I am Kevin! It’s not always easy to deal with all that life throws at you! Sometimes you may feel like you can overcome challenges in your life, but other times you might feel overwhelmed or lost and want some extra support.

I believe that it’s normal to experience high and low points regularly, and whether you seek personal growth or are looking for support, I will do my best to provide a non-judgmental, safe space to help you find solutions to some of your biggest struggles.

Authenticity is key in my work. I value you as a person and want to help you value yourself and your relationships. If you suffer from low self esteem, anxiety, or are just down about your life as it stands, I will work with you to empower you and support you with compassion and insight. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), along with psychodynamic and person-centered approaches, I will help you understand the role of your thinking and behavioral patterns and will help you develop and maintain practical coping strategies to deal with day-to-day challenges.

I specialize in working with young adults, college students, and working professionals who are trying to figure out what their next step in life is. Whether it be about a significant relationship, dating, or one’s identity, I help my clients feel good about themselves and move beyond the social, familial roles, and traumas that may be holding them back.

Personally, I value the relationships I have with my family, friends, and dogs, and enjoy spending time with the people I love. I also like to travel, try new types of foods, and relax in nature!
