Andrea Figueroa, MA
Evanston Therapist
(She/Her)
Hi, I’m Andrea! If you’re feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, struggling with past trauma, or facing challenging life experiences, I’m here to help. Together, we will create a safe and compassionate space where you can explore challenges at your own pace.
With a previous background in teaching, I bring a unique perspective to therapy. I understand the importance of meeting you where you are and creating an environment where you feel empowered to be yourself. My teaching experience taught me to be patient, adaptable, and responsive to individual needs—skills I bring into every therapy session to ensure you feel seen, heard, and supported.
I specialize in helping individuals with anxiety, complex trauma, and life transitions. These struggles can feel isolating, but I’m here to guide you through them with empathy and understanding. Whether we’re uncovering past wounds or navigating current challenges, my goal is to help you reconnect with your inner strength and resilience. Together, we’ll equip you with the tools and strategies you need to feel better and move forward with confidence.
In our work together, I’ll support you in exploring all parts of yourself—the strengths you have and the vulnerabilities you’re learning to embrace. I use creative tools, like crayons, blank paper, or pillows, to make the process easier and more comfortable. We’ll find what works for you.
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time in nature, cooking, reading, and enjoying Dunkin’s hazelnut iced coffee with almond milk. I’m here to listen without judgment, help you unpack what’s weighing on you, and support you as you find confidence and clarity in your life.
